Dawn Aulet is an award-winning journalist, published author and teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Theater from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in Teaching from Olivet-Nazarene Univerity. She believes everyone has a story and it is through the telling of and listening to our stories that we change the world. The use of stories connects every area of her life, whether it be her connecting with her students, her sources or her two sons. Dawn has an innate talent to connect with people, to feel their stories, to understand in places where she seemingly should not. She hopes this genuine connection comes through in her writing and interactions on this site. In her soul, she wants to change the world by serving as sanctuary for those who do not have a voice - encouraging them to tell their stories even when they have to whisper.
